Can I share how proud I am?

We got the school reports for our 5 and 6 year old today and they are blooming lovely. Right where they should be at, and the 6 year old is excelling at maths, reading and writing. And the comments from the teachers were so lovely…popular, funny, kind, makes me smile. I know they are only 5 and 6, so loads of time for things to go wrong…but I am so proud of them right now (I should find a way of bottling this magic). They have been with us for three years…I wish I was half as resilient and as brave as they are.

What a lovely post, you must be so proud of them.

And keep sharing away Smile

I really am. I didn’t have any expectations particularly with Covid thrown in. I would have been impressed with them just showing up at school daily tbh. After such a tough start, they are doing so well…just another 12/13 years of reports to go!!!

How lovely! You should be very proud, both of them and yourselves.

Oh how lovely, you share away Smile. My two are the same age and have recently joined a new school.

They are doing so well

@Sillyshell it’s just magic when things are going well isn’t it. I can’t believe how resilient our children can be. Even when we hit bumps in the road (and we do have a big bump coming), they are still standing.

What a lovely post!
Absolutely keep sharing, maybe screen shot your post so it can pop up on your phone and you can keep reminding yourself of this lovely moment.
Happy end of termSmile

@Kitkatcrunchie that’s a great idea!! Especially for the tough days. I’m going to laminate their reports too so they stand the test of time better. The praise the kids got from us (and the sweets) really did them the world of good too, it affirmed what we are always telling them and I could tell they felt proud of themselves too…which is probably worth as much as our pride for them…maybe even more?
