Would flowers be appropriate?

A friend has their adoption confirmation hearing next week. Would it be appropriate to send congratulations flowers if everything is confirmed and finalised? We see each other a lot as kids at school together but I only met them after their son came to live with them so have not known them for a long time. Would you be pleased to get congratulation flowers in this circumstance? Thanks

Definitely a card as they may well keep them as part of their child's adoption story. Cant see why flowers are a problem but I gave my friends a set of children's books

Yes! I think that's a lovely gesture. I guess it just depends what important dates the family celebrate. We focus on the moving home date for both our kids and we celebrate them as their day. But for a one off like this I think this is a really lovely thing to do.
