link maker adopter profiles, biased towards couples with children?

During our recent adoption woes I have been tinkering with our link maker profile (just to do something!) and I am just wondering if anyone else feels its biased towards parents with children already.

Sections on your perfect day (I'm assuming a 1pm lay in and a massive pizza isn't going to fly) and then listing your activities to see how a child can fit in with you family, surely they must understand that most couples without children don't spend their days doing things children will want to do? Also I don't get the whole so a child can fit in aspect, surely most couples change their hobbies and daily activities once they have children?

Did anyone else find this, and how then did you tackle the perfect day part Hmm

Hi, don't worry about the "perfect day" bit, us social workers really take zero interest in it (most people without kids just write their dream day when they have kids - go to zoo, feed the ducks watch a movie etc). We are far more interested in adopters writing plenty about their support network, childcare experience and, most importantly, being honest in their matching criteria. Theres a lot of folk out there approved for say 0-5 but who are set on an under 1 or a specific gender. So it helps us if you set it out clearly so theres no wasting anyone's time.

Having a well written profile focusing on the stuff that actually matters (and not listing your favourite foods or personality traits) does go a long way.

All the best with your journey.
