Has anyone moved area pre adoption order?

And how did social workers react? Our son will have been home for almost 2 years but due to various court hold ups and covid, adoption order not granted yet. We had never planned to move when we were going through the process but circumstances have changed a lot due to covid. Would be interested in hearing from anyone who has been through similar. Thanks.

Sometimes life just happens and you can’t do anything about it. Its not like he’s just moved in.
I think all you can do is present is as a fait accompli and this is how you plan to manage it.

We ended up not moving but for a while it seemed likely, due to covid, that we'd need to move for work pre order.

Our SWs were fine with the idea. We tried to emphasise the positives e.g being closer to family, cheaper area so bigger house etc
