Age for adopting?

Sorry if this is personal. Just wondering what age you were when you started the adoption process and/or when you were matched. I am 35 but looking to start process in a few years. Is that age considered ok? Will be single adopter, so will it matter that I’ll be slightly older.

Started process at 38 and matched by 39. There was a single adopter in their 50s who was first in our adoption group to be matched.

no problem at all, I’m single, started process at 42, son came home when I was 46

most people don’t as long as I did, I had several delays, including changing jobs

Started the process at 28 and matched and child moved in at 29. Their sibling followed two years later. Started process at 30 and placed at 31

I'm single. The first time I adopted I was 38 and brought my son home 11 months later. I adopted again last year aged 44

Registered interest at 40 now 42 with EP baby just come to us. DH is nearly 45.Perfectly acceptable being an older parent.

First one came when we were 38 and 35 me being the eldest, youngest one age 3 was placed when we were 65 and 62! Age in our case was not a problem!

It really varies, I was 28, but mine is in family so different.

The parents at our adoption support group vary from 23 to 52.
