How long after initial visit did you start stage one?

We had our information evening and two days later we had our initial visit, it seemed to go really well and were booked to start training in three weeks for stage one. Social worker said that she had to type up our report and get her manager to officially approve us for stage one. It’s been five days and we haven’t heard anything. I’m just very excited, how long did you wait? Thanks

Hello, that sounds usual. I think we were invited to stage 1 within a week of the initial virtual visit x

Thank you, I was so worried it was looking bad for us. I think I may wait until Wednesday as it would be a week by then and then give them a call. I just don’t want to be too impatient but I’m just so excited to get started x

Just remember that things are taking a bit longer at the moment due to all things Covid, if it’s later it probs my doesn’t mean anything other than the system has slowed down.

We were sent our written report 9 days after the initial meeting. We were told during the meeting that they allow themselves 10 days to type up and discuss with their manager before sending it back.

We’re still waiting to be accepted onto stage 1. Registered our interest a week ago after lots of emails and meetings since early December, and now we’ve been told we have to have another meeting in early March to decide if they will accept us onto stage 1. It feels as though it’s going really slowly for us compared to everyone else.

We had our initial visit mid December, got our written report the next day and got the paperwork for stage 1 Christmas week.
