Waiting for our PAR

Well it all started with the first home visit in January and then with covid there have been delays but we are almost there now. Chased our social worker at the start of this week and she said our report was with her manager and she hoped to get a copy to us by the end of this week.

She said it has to be sent to the panel on the 12th 3 weeks before our panel meeting.
Nervous as to reading it! See what tommorow brings!

@journeytobeingadad
We had our first home visit end of January and after a few delays we are also expecting our PAR today. Ours has to be submitted by the 13th ready for panel on 27th. Exciting but nervous times!! Good luck

Well we had it today all 29 pages! Had a call first thing from the social worker to discuss points her manager had bought up. Answered all her questions and she added the information to the report.
She certainly did not miss anything about us and picked up on everything in our meetings.
I think based on what she has summed up at the end we should be prepared for the types of questions we may get from the panel.
Wonder anyone else's thoughts how were questions from the panel as expected?

Hi and good luck - I'm sure you'll do really well!
From memory - a small parenting concern of mine I had was included in my PAR and as expected I was asked how I would manage my feelings. As a single female adopter with with mostly female friends I was asked about male role models - probably not surprising. There was nothing really difficult. It's hard to remember now though, it's a blur! It sounds really positive that it's so thorough.

So yesterday was the day and we were unanimously approved by the panel. The meeting was just under 40 mins including a break for their decision!
We brainstormed the night before from our PAR and all the questions they asked us about were expected.
They said we answered in detail and honestly which we tried to.
Despite it being a teams virtual meeting it worked fine.
Now the wait for the ADM decision in writing!
Its been a year long journey and now past a big hurdle. Thanks for your help so far.
