Looking for child for adoption on fb

Sorry, this is a bit random. I was fb this morning and there was a post by an adoption agency about a little 3 year old boy with GDD who was looking for an adoptive family. There was also a short video & a quote from his foster family. I watched it and Am really interested in finding out more. I told DH about him and now I can’t find the link to the agency again. Does anyone know which agencies put videos like this on? I suspect SW will say he is too close in age to our birth child (4, also with GDD) but I would like to show DH first before contacting SS.

Thank you - and sorry this is a bit garbelled!

@Bouncingbelle

are you already in the adoption process ?

This doesnt sound right to me. I can't imagine any adoption agency would advertise a child openly on FB in that manner, it would be a huge breach of the child's confidentiality.

I think you can search for your "seen posts" or videos.
I expect (hope?) it is actors in the video.
Your Facebook feed is likely tailored to your local area so you could try the Facebook pages of adoption agencies near you.

All that aside, the adoption process is something to consider and discuss at length, if today's random scrolling has planted a seed in your mind.

Yes, we are. We had almost completed the process 5 years ago when I fell pregnant with a VERY unexpected pregnancy and obviously everything had to be cancelled.

We are now in the early stages of starting again. I was actually going to post for some advice re our ages and the benefits of waiting until birth child is a little older v what if we are then considered to adopt? But then again, Maybe it’s not like last time when one Of us had to under 45 as this time we aren’t looking for a baby.

I had thought that perhaps the video/photo etc was put on the agency’s website as due to some of the issues mentioned the child might be considered ‘hard to place’ (though to us the issues are ‘just out day to day life’!) but on reflection, maybe it’s from an American site or something as their adoptions are so different.

Thank you - I’ve been able to find it, it’s an agency called adoption counts.

I saw this advert, it is with adoption counts, but as a single adopter I figured his needs may be met better with a 2 parent family.

Adoption Counts and Adoption Matters both feature children in adverts on Facebook @Ted27. Maybe others do too, but I’ve only seen these in my feed.
