Introduction book

I’m just putting together a photo book for our LO prior to introductions and it’s one of these ones that you can record your voice on each page. I have got to the point of introducing myself but I stuck on how to. I don’t feel right saying ‘I’m ...... and I’m your new mummy’. For me the word ‘new’ sounds like a replacement. I’m sure I’m just overthinking it. Has anyone got any advice or suggestions?

We just introduced ourselves by our names eg. I’m Mama.....but I think every LA has different guidelines. Our LA wanted us to say first names but the placing authority wanted us to start with Mama.

I just went in with 'Hello (child's name). It's Mummy. This was for a baby and I think that worked.

Forever mummy.

That’s what we called ourselves in the introduction book - forever parents.
