Adoption with pets

Hi everyone; I am new here. Me and OH are planning to start the adoption journey this spring after a period of time re grouping and deciding this was our way forward.

I was wondering if anyone had any adoption stories with let’s; specifically horses. They are not kept at my house so safety wouldn’t be an issue.

We have dogs too but I have done a lot of research around this and I know our dogs will fit the bill due to the nature of my extended family they are around a lot of little people!

Hi. I have horses and recently adopted a 3 year old. There was no difficulty with that- SW just wanted to be comfortable that the demands of horse ownership would not interfere with the settling in process. My competition horse is on full livery and I just handed him over for 3 months and dedicated myself entirely to our new family member. Once he started nursery in the afternoon I picked it back up again. I would strongly recommend not trying to combine the two until you are happy all is working well at home. Now occasionally he will sit in the car and give me the thumbs up when I am lunging!
