Morning Ladies/Gents
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what I'm to expect next. Myself and my partner have the information sharing meeting next week for put match with two girls, we have been told we dont need to take anything with us other than questions we might.....can anyone shed some light on what we are to expect at this meeting and direct us the right way for the type of questions to ask? We do have a lost ready but I'd like to make sure we are on the right track and havent missed anything!
Thank you

Hi and congratulations on your possible match Smile

It sounds like you're well prepared already and I'm probably stating the obvious but:

Go through the childrens' CPR with a fine tooth comb - make questions relevant to this and don't be afraid to query any ambiguous language or anything you don't understand.

It isn't always a good idea for siblings to be placed together for various reasons (though we are about to go to matching panel for 2 children). Ask about their relationship with each other and about the decision process that led to them being kept together.

Ask about the kind of support available for any extra needs they have post placement with you e.g. psychological support, are they receiving any treatments/therapies? If you live out of their area ask about how you will go about ensuring everything transfers over to ensure continuity of support. Different CCGs in the NHS manage their own funding and services so may be very different.

Ask your SW - they should have read the reports and will be able to highlight anything that they think should be explored further. They are there to support you (or should be) so use their experience.

I'm sure someone else will be along with other suggestions too but hope this helps as a starting point and good luck with the match!
