Foster carers meetings.

Hi,

Foster carers meeting had been moved forward a few weeks to today. We have loads of questions written down but worried we will forget something.

Will we see foster carer again before intros (not until beginning of Nov) or will we exchange numbers today so I can text etc if we have any questions whilst preparing for DD arrival?

We met the FC about 6 weeks before intros started and didn’t see her again until the first day of intros. We weren’t allowed to swap numbers. However, ours was all organised in a slightly odd way so our experience might not be typical.

Hang on, I’ve just checked and we met her 11 weeks before intros! All seems a blur now.

Exciting times! We swapped numbers and emails with FCs and had loads of communication both times. It was still hard to pin them down on what exactly would be coming stuff-wise, but I think that was British politeness on both sides.

We don't know what to expect although hopefully we will get some insight into what our DD likes to get the room ready and sizes so we can get the basics that we'll need for when she first comes. So excited.

We're hoping for some photos to put up in bedroom. Room is huge and only cot and chest of drawers in there at the moment 🙈

Don't worry too much about photos for her room. In this day and age you can get them printed and framed and almost delivered ready to hang with next day delivery services. Also we did our clothes shopping as somewhere to go when we had our LO on our own during transition.
