Just wanted to say Thankyou to all you lovely people on here. I have been going through my adoption journey for the last year and this forum has helped me massively! I haven’t posted anything just logged on and learnt so so much! Was approved at panel last week and just waiting for my letter from the decision maker to move onto my matching process. So glad I found this forum as going through as a single adopter it was so helpful!

Congratulations Pinkgirl77 hope you get the letter soon! Am also a single adopter and I’ve had some wonderful advice and support from this forum over the years. It’s definitely tough doing this alone but also definitely the best thing I’ve ever done (and my DD is still just about at the age where she still tolerates me and would agree!) best of luck for the future

@PoppyStellar thankyou! Just want to get my letter and it’s a yes in black and white lol! It is hard as a single adopter, although my mum is an amazing support, it’s good to come on here and get some advice from people who are on the same journey as you. Awww I can’t wait for the next steps to unfold, I know it can be a long matching process but i’m looking forward to the day I hopefully get to bring a little one home xx
