@Kewcumber but I'm probably mistaken! Kew you weren't on a ferry crossing at lunchtime today, were you?! I may have been hallucinating due to a somewhat stressful journey (missing our ferry and the next scheduled space offered was SEVEN HOURS later...thankfully, other people must have been late too and the actual wait was nowhere near as bad) with my adored aged mum and over-excited child.

Ha, I feel much less bonkers now! I used to be Polka, and met you in London with Kristina and Hels and Meita at an MN meet up years and years ago. I was in the lift with you today telling my giant DC (who was only 3 when I met you) that having chocolate cake on her nose was a classy look

Just collapsed indoors from being blown into a human bird's nest all day on the beach - was lovely though! Yes, I had hair envy when I saw you - I like the new hair very much. I do have to confess that I was stuck on "I know that person from somewhere" until I saw your DS too and then the penny dropped. Impressively tall, you're right!

If we were here longer I would bite your hand off for a coffee - as it is, DD wants to spend all tomorrow pretty much exactly as she's spent today (digging holes in the sand and jumping over waves) and we head home again on Monday afternoon sadly. Very jealous of your longer stay, not to mention actual house-in-progress!

@FlatheadScrewdriver if your beach is on the east side of the island, I'll come over and meet you for coffee... I have no plans for tomorrow
