Statutory adoption pay

So, we had matching panel last Thursday. Apparently I should have given my employer some documentary evidence 28 days before I want to go on adoption leave.

How is that even possible, when intros start on 29th July, which is only 18 days after panel?

I have kept my employer up to date, so not really likely to be a problem, but even so,

The official matching certificate can take a while, its a long time ago for me now but I think I had a letter of some description from the SW as an interim. Because I'd kept then informed my HR understood the process and were happy to wait for the formal certificate.

I had the same worry and I think as long as they know what’s happening all should be fine. Our SW gave us matching certificate at our matching panel so got that to work straight away. My leave started 2 weeks later but work let me use all my holiday before hand

I had to ask our SW to email my work to inform them of our match but pending matching Certificate. They can’t do anything until you have matching certificate so I wouldn’t worry. We are still waiting on our certificate and intros start in a week!

We got our matching certificate after our intro week and on the day we took her home.
