The child I never thought I would have, after 2 missed miscarriages and a catalogue of gynaecological issues that meant I didn’t stand much chance of getting pregnant. After all the heartache and pain, despite the beatings I got at the hands of my now ex husband both before and whilst pregnant, at 7:32 9 years ago my son was born- perfectly healthy and well.
I can’t believe how fast the last 9 years have gone. I hope his parents give him the best birthday possible. The weather isn’t as nice as it was on the day he was born but my heart is just as full of love for him.
Today brings a massive mixture of emotions, gratitude and pride that I have an amazing son as well as grief and sadness that I am not a part of his life.
