Is it normal to feel like this?

Brief background (so as not to bore you all!)

Never dreamt I wouldn’t be a mum. Grew up being the one that always loved being around babies/toddlers etc. Just assumed I would always be a mum

Anyway fast forward a dvsebere endometriosis robbed me of fertility. Failed egg donor IVFs followed (2 days after the last failed IVF) by being seremonoidly dumped by a man I realised was not who I thought he was.

That was 6 years ago, have basically been single since. Have thought on and off about adoption but only really seriously the last couple of years. Decided to go on the course last year and was approved in August

To be brutally honest still was a bit unsure. Mainly because am on my own, practicalities (have to work full time), age (am now 49, way older than I thought I would be to do this).

Anyway I thought what would make my mind up is seeing a profile that I just thought yes. One was sent to me this week and the picture and profile did exactly that (I was approved for a 3-5 year old girl.

All feelings are normal in adoption! It is one of the strangest things i have attempted (we are in matching)
