Searching for matches

So, we now have online links to search.

Gosh - it is hard, isn't it. We just have a regional site at the moment.
Do you find:
a) The criteria you thought you had set yourself seem to woosh out of the window
b) You tend to keep checking?

I guess the 'novelty' wears off after a short while, and you just periodically check for new profiles.

I wasn't expecting to feel so strongly about a picture and a paragraph.

Nothing else in life is really like this whole thing is it?

I defenantly don't check it several times a day.... no not me!

I tend to read all the profiles whether they fit my criteria or not.

It's heart breaking isn't it. I find myself 're reading those who have been on there for a long time and wondering if I could do it.... heart over head I guess.

But on a plus...when you see a child is 'on hold ' ..... and then disappears from the site... it's such a nice feeling!

Found that our criteria went out of the window from day one and we checked every thing and kept going back to see new profiles. Made our search longer as we wanted children we realistically couldn't help.

Took longer for those reasons and (after a long chat with our SW, who reminded us) went back to our checklist.

Wasn't helped when we then had two links to check as one did full names and the other initials so hey started to become confusing. Thank God for keeping a list.

Good luck TC!

I didn't do online. If we had I suspect I'd have been a little nuts about it.

Yeah, that happens a lot. You need to work out which lines to hold and which to ignore. We strongly considered a sibling group of 3 that we met (having been sure we were only going for one). Having two kids now, I'm very glad we didn't. Equally my eldest had a risk factor which was a hard no for DW- saying yes is the best thing we've ever done.

We are soon to be handed over to our family finding SW - so it will be interesting to hear their take on it all.
