We have a Placement Order!

I've been doing foster to adopt with a beautiful baby girl. She is 8 and a half months. Today we got the placement order. I feel so happy and relieved but with a twinge of sadness for birth family. I love her so much and I'm just so excited for our future together! I know there are still a few hurdles to get through but this is such a milestone in our journey!

I just wanted to share my joy with people that understand and give hope to those that are still waiting.

Oh congratulations . Nearly there ! I know exactly what you mean about joy tinged with sadness. We adopted our foster child and both my husband and I ( and the sw ) cried when the placement order was granted. We knew what it would do to the birth parents ( we knew them quite well at this point ) and although we knew it opened the door for us to adopt our beloved little boy it was v much mixed emotions! X
