Adopting in Essex - anyone in the same position?

Hello,
My husband and I have just moved to North Essex and we are in the process of adopting an older sibling group if all goes well.
I don't know anyone in a similar position and I would really like to chat/meet up with people either in the adoption process or on the other side.
Are you out there and would you like to meet for coffee?

Hi Kathy, not in North Kent myself but if you go to the Adoption UK website there should be details of their groups ( think you may have to be a member though) Most LAs also run groups for their adopters.

Hi Cathy if you join the National Association of Therapeutic Parents they run listening circles in each area. A really supportive community which will be really helpful
To have both before and when you have the children. I recommend buying the A-Z of Therapeutic parenting by Sarah Naish it's brilliant , good luck!
