Almost 4 months in and it’s unbelievable how much my life has changed. Feels like LO has been with me forever ( single) . She is 14 months now and is so happy and content. I may sound naive right now but I hanging onto this amazing ride for as long as possible !

I just wanted to spread some happy / success joy. Would love to hear others in same boat or offer support to those still moving through the process.

Hi Martha

Glad to hear things are going so well for you both.
I’m almost 3 months in and feel exactly the same, my LO is almost 4 and I’m also a single adopter. Life is so much better and worthwhile now.
I was so anxious beforehand as there was a lot of negativity (even at matching panel) but we formed a tight bond within the intros and LO is really thriving - fully toilet trained in 2 weeks, speech problems almost gone and is really developing an amazing personality.

It’s lovely to hear positive stories and whilst we don’t know what the future holds for our children we are enjoying the hear and now.
Have a Wonderful first Christmas

Love this forum! Just new to all of this journey and as a single adopter I love seeing all these success stories! Just ready to go into training days, and so excited for my future and to become a mummy!
Wish you both all the happiness for your future xxx

We are nearly a year into placement and life has never been better. I am the happiest I have ever been, as is my husband, my DSS and our beautiful DS who has just turned 2.

Amazing everyone ! So nice to share positive outcomes. It really is life changing and I feel excited for those yet to go through it all xx

Great to hear some good news. The training does tend to just cover the potential "problems".

My daughter is 11 months. She is the best person in my life. Enjoy your baby girl x

2 years in and still loving it! My son is amazing and it is such a priviledge being his mama.
Of course its exhausting and my life in many ways very different, but so much richer and fun as well.

I am just over a month into placement and loving it. Some days are harder than others but I feel I am starting to get used to sleep deprivation!!

Nothing better than being used as a climbing frame to stand up - or when he smiles in the morning!

Though when someone says they woke up at 8 o clock and moan about how early it is - I do long for a lie in!!!!

I'm also a month in. My LO (nearly 2) is soooooo much fun!!! I love hanging out with her :)
