So I haven't really posted much recently as it's been such a busy time with assessments and that.
But the good news is that on Monday we got approved at panel. They also approved our match with the LO! It was a bit of a whirlwind as straight after we took pictures of the panel and then then in to plan introductions, which started on Wednesday.
Our LO is two and a half, so has been really interacting with us. It was heartwarming to hear him call us Dad and Daddy, but we know this is all service stuff and we don't have an attachment built. Our LA has agreed to give us attachment therapy so will hopefully be starting that in the next few weeks.
I wanted to share this as I know how much of a rollercoaster the whole process is, going from being over the moon to being in floods of tears. But it's so worth it. We were told at stage two training about how important the relationship with our SW would be, and it's so true. We can tell her anything, just really be open and honest about how we are feeling and she's the same with us.
Got to dash now, little one is waking up from his nap
