Yikes, couldn't watch it all. Fucking horrible is my thought and certainly puts me off any company that thinks that is a good advert.

TargaryenDragon · 18/10/2018 21:42

Came up on my Facebook group. I agree it's in very poor taste. Adoption UK have tweeted them and complaints are being sent out. Giffgaff are hiding messages on twitter and Facebook about the whole thing.

Hoping the advert will get pulled. It doesn't paint either birth or adopted families in a good light. Horrendous idea!

I'm speechless. And shocked. That was horrible.

TargaryenDragon · 18/10/2018 21:50

Giffgaff seemed to have stopped removing Facebook posts. Adoptive and foster families are leaving their opinions on the advert on the video on Giffgaffs page. If you have Facebook, please let them know how you feel.

Oh my word!! Thanks very much goof gaff ( giff spell checked, but I think 'goof' worked quite well).

This is awful - I just watched the full length one, and it's really shockingly insensitive. Be aware it's planned for the shorter ad to be shown during Harry Potter this weekend.

incywincybitofa · 19/10/2018 12:03

It looks like it's been pulled I can't see it anywhere

GiddyGardner · 19/10/2018 14:40

They have pulled it and are meeting with Adoption UK, someone's head is going to roll, they are known for their Halloween adverts.

BertBox · 19/10/2018 16:12

Phew!

LemonSqueezy0 · 20/10/2018 18:03

Very insensitive! How did that get through without someone considering the possible implications?!

Glad it was pulled...
