Would like advice. AO went through end of last year with celebration hearing back at start of February. We still have not received life story book. is it reasonable to chase it up now?

Absolutely reasonable. No harm in sending an email asking if they need anything else from you and requesting a rough date to see the draft.

I think there's a law saying it has to be given within so many weeks of the final hearing, it may be worth finding that out, and pointing it out to them.

A word of warning- "Life story book" conjured an image of Michael Aspel for me. The few A4 sheets with a treasury tag filled with rubbish wasn't what I'd hoped for! So you may have to do your own anyway.

Our youngest has been home for three years now. Still no sign of the book. But if it's half as crap as the other two we've recieved I'm. It bothered about it. We've made our own.

They are rubbish with life story books. Apparently have now got strict instructions to have them with a certain time frame but will see this time round. With my DS it took us 4 years to get the life story book. We'd given up ever receiving it but when we dipped in for 2nd time we queried it and they suddenly hurried to get it to us.

Must admit I tend to think of "this is your life" too. If we get that far, I will remember to hide any disappointment :)
