general info on adoption

can anyone suggest a good website etc that talks you through adoption process? Apart from anything else what kind of guidance on family status adoption agencies look at (I'm concerned as second marriage/age issues may affect).

Adoption Uk tends to be fairly well recommended but I have no expereience with it myself.

you are better off having a chat with either local council or a voluntary agency, as no-one would be refused (or very few) however family status/age etc could influence the kind of child you would be matched with but its a very indivual case by case thing. MOst authorities are pretty open about what you can expect (at least mine was) Many also do open evenings for people to come and ask questions.
