...and is it possible to do so?
We are in the very early stages (in Scotland so no stage 1 or 2 as such.) Went to information evening, then had initial meeting, was asked to have early medical due to my previous anxiety. Had medical in early Jan and now waiting to see if we will be accepted on to prep course in March. This is with a VA, who we chose specifically because they had great offsted report, good website, information evening was fab, and they offer a whole host of after adoption support.
However, we are now thinking we perhaps should have met with other agencies before starting the process. I fully expect there to be delays along the way but am really not impressed by the VA's communication so far. We have called and emailed several times asking for updates re the medical. They ignored emails so when I rang on Monday, was told that our email had been passed to person X, who was meeting with person Y and would get back to us. Still no update. We need to know if we will be attending the prep course to make work arrangements and have made this clear to them.
Anyway, my questions are firstly, are we being unreasonable to expect better than this? Has anyone else moved agencies and how easy was that? What would happen with our medical if we moved - would we need to repeat this with new agency?
