Had a segment on adopted children in schools.

It’s on the iPlayer, second article after Kirstie and Phil.

What did you make of it? Carrie's blogpost on the behaviour of the parents at her son's old school makes for powerful reading.

Mostly I was fascinated by Kirstie and Adoption UK lady’s dresses being similar but from (I assume) opposite ends of the cost scale. 😀

I had already heard Carrie’s story which is just awful. And that school looked wonderful. Amazing that they were grouped by developmental age. And then I cried because we’ve had a shit day here. 😐

I’m not sure I learned anything or any of it was directly relevant to us, but I kind of like anything that shows the world what we’re dealing with.

Probably really useful for newbies or thinking-about-adopting-people.

Did you watch?

I thought the grouping by developmental age was interesting too. In my dreamer idealist moments I'd like a world where schools developed children to accept all the others just as they are, rather than some families feeling driven to remove their children / start up an entirely new school...

Sorry you've had a shitty day Sad Have you uncorked the self-care?

I seems like in Carrie’s case it was the other parents who needed developing, not the kids.

I have not uncorked self-care - I decided over the holidays that my self-care needed a lower ABV! 😀🍷😭
