Adoption Certificate

Boring question but...

DD’s adoption order was granted in September and we have just received a copy of it in the post.

Do I now need to apply for an adoption certificate (to replace birth certificate) or will it come automatically? Should I chase via the court or our social worker?

We got the short form one automatically and then applied to the GRO for the long one. (You need the long one for passports etc).
