So, we have had our initial registration of interest form accepted, and are now in possession of a 'workbook'.

I know it's only 'admin' at this point - so it surprised me how pleased I was.

It's all very daunting though...

Good luck! We recently finished stage 1 and will be doing stage 2 after Christmas. The workbook for us turned out to be a lot more than admin; it was quite emotional thinking about key events in our lives, what we remember of our own experiences of being parented and our own vision of the parents we'd like to be. Very worthwhile though, I think it would benefit most people who become parents by any means.

The thing is, I think I may have led a bit of a charmed life so far (DW less so). School was fine, parents fine, just had DW as relationship!

Interesting to think about what I might write. I tend a bit towards the practical rather than the emotional - so I am going to have to work hard!
