Not engaging with life story book

My DD2, 12, won't engage at all with her life story book, and hasn't for years. She did an SS run set of sessions on emotions etc recently and I hoped she would engage after that, but still no. She just finds it all too 'big' to cope with. She does know all the essentials of her background but really doesn't want to delve any deeper.

Do you think it matters?

No I really don't! I'm very much a believer in things like this being done when and IF the child is ready and wants too. Bigger picture - how is she at home? At school? With friends? With you? If these are going be well, then IMO leave it be.

Sometimes it's human nature that we push away the things we don't want to deal with whilst she is only a child if she is not ready to deal with this or just not interested I'm not sure I'd push it.

My only worry would be if her emotions were
Coming out negatively in other ways x
