Hello, me again! ☺
So, better news today, we've received our report (which was actually fine) and ROI form to sign! Yay!

Regarding references, I thought that we'd have to put forward 3 each (1 x family and 2 x friends), but it looks on the form that we have to put forward 3 x join references? Is this right or have I got it wrong?

We had to do 3 each but preferably from people who know you as a couple and can comment on your relationships.

We had to do three joint. They then asked for another as they felt that there wasn't a ref who knew me as strongly as they knew my OH. We tried to pick refs with children which meant we picked people who knew one of us better than the other. To be honest it wasn't a problem as they just did another verbal one.

Practice seems to vary. I am a single adopter and I had to provide six!

Hi,

I'm also a single adopter, what they don't tell you is that the references are not just people who will say nice things about you and have known you ages, they're people who will form your support network, I'm nearing panel and have recently had to add/change two of my references to ensue my support network is strong.

Thanks everyone!
I think we'll just put the 3 joint ones and maybe 3 individual ones each! Can't do any harm!
