Surprising questions?

Hi all. We are just starting stage 2 for adoption and fully expect that our sessions with the social worker will cover all the areas in our workbooks. For those who completed workbooks, did social workers ever go off piste and ask more than you had already been able to consider? I am just wondering if there were any left field questions which surprised you so that we can perhaps learn from your experiences.

Thanks

I found that they very much stuck to a script. They only ever asked questions from the book. I think they have enough questions to cover everything and more without going off book.

We didn't have a book or any warning as to what the questions would be, but DP and I are quite reflective so there was really only one question that we'd not thought about prior to the asessment. That was about how we'd discuss sexuality and set boundaries about it with our teens.
