Hi

We are about to start our stage 2 meetings and one of them mentions the above. Does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Thanks

Hmmm no idea! I'm nearing the end of my stage 2 assessment and haven't done that.I do have a long session with my social worker next week on matching considerations so it may be part of that? I'll certainly update if I find out.

I googled mackenzie-activity-attachment-trauma and got quite a few results around publications on trauma, adult attachment style interviews etc. So I'm guessing something connected to exploring your own attachment styles and getting a better understanding of yourself?? Would love to know though, so report back!

We did it. The first rule of Mackenzie exercise is that you don't talk about Mackenzie exercise.

Don't drink too much fluid beforehand.

The (disappointingly prosaic) truth is that it's an activity about a fictional adoptee called Mackenzie. You get a summary about his life at various stages and have to say how you'd support him at each step.

Assuming yours is the same thing, I wonder whether we share an agency. Are you based in the North West OP?

Mackenzie friends are also a pro bono solicitor type person usually to do with family cases where legal aid is refused
