Hi...has anyone used Western Bay Adoption agency and if so how did you find the process and was it long ? Thanks

Hi, we adopted with them but they weren't our social workers, if that makes sense! We went through all of our assessments etc with our LA, but we were matched with Western Bay. We had a couple of issues which caused a few delays but overall they were quite quick and on the ball. I think it depends a lot on the SW you are allocated as to how smooth/quick things go- from our initial enquiry to bringing our little one home was 10 months.

Thank you . We have only just started the process and they are our LA . We emailed our first forms over to organise SW home visit but nobody has got in touch with us. I'm probably very impatient but not sure how long I should wait until I have to start thinking about contacting them myself instead.

How long ago did you email the forms? We heard back from ours within a couple of days, so if it's much longer then I would probably give them a call. It won't hurt and it will put your mind at rest that they have received your application. Good luck with it all!
