Hi all
Me and my husband are just starting research to look at becoming adopters in Kent and wondered what advice you may have for a newbie couple!

We plan to attend an information session to kick things off.

Appreciate any pointers!!

Keep talking to each other, keep listening, don't be afraid to let the other know how you feel or what you think, appreciate the other may not be in the same place as you in their thinking. (I was often about 6 months ahead of DH.)
Get one decent book on attachment theory and both read it. (They all explain it very well - not many have useful how-to-deal-with it sections.)
Read about FAS.
Plan nice stuff -holidays etc, try not to let the process take over. Easier said than done i know.
Good luck.
