No reply to letterbox

After a few years of exchanging really positive letters between ourselves and birth mum we have not had any response, it's been nearly 2 months now.

Not really looking for any help, just wanted to share as it's so sad. We really hoped she would stay in contact so that we could share her story and the fact that she stayed in touch when our/her child is older.

Part of me just hopes she is ok

She may be in a bad place this year but be able to write next year. I hope he does start to write again.

We had no reply to our letter last year. Due to write another one. Part of me is sad too that there is no letter. Another rejection for lo :-(

Exactly Highlander. I have no doubt it is difficult to write but we hope this is a blip and we will get one soon

If she's always written in the past it will hopefully be that it is a blip. It could even be something as simple as a change of address. Is there a worker co-ordinating your letterbox contact who can try to contact her?

Hi FindoGask, yes always been reliable in the past. I have asked about them chasing up on her but they say they have sent the letter, it's not been returned unopened and that's all they can do

It's bloody awful isn't it. We sent our first last autum to three separate people, not one has responded. I'm heartbroken for DS, like you say it's just yet another rejection. Next one due soon (twice a year) and I'm hoping we get something back. If not I'm going to speak to SS about reducing it to once a year.
