Link maker

We are newly approved for a sibling pair or a single child and have started to look at Link Maker. Anyone have any experience of it-good or bad? We've expressed interest but either receive nothing or the discussion is ended.

No experience of this but good luck.

Our link maker experience was pretty unfruitful but my best friend found her daughter through them. It does feel quite dusheartening to hear nothing back from SW when you enquire for children. Try and hold onto the fact that if its the right child for you it will happen. Our match came from our VA in the end. Good luck

We found our two through Link Maker. Our SW was annoyed that we didn't wait for the 3 months LA search (we spotted them the day after we were approved!) but even she will admit that we're an awesome match.

I should add though, it took several months for SWs their end to communicate... not sure if that is just more of an out of County thing though.

Our son came to us through link maker. tbh honest as with many things throughout this process it really does depend on the social workers involved. We were/are very lucky that ours is amazing and our son's would answer messages that we sent so we weren't left completely in the dark after registering out interest. Good luck
