Contact with Foster carer

How much contact is normal after placement? For the first week or two we text every other day(ish). Sent pics etc. This has dwindled to every 7-10 days since we met up 3 weeks ago. We plan to meet again around xmas time as FC still has memory box and pics etc. FC always seems to appreciate texts and pics but I don't know whether I should be reducing contact?

Long term we want to keep in touch so how much contact is "normal"?

Thanks ladies. We are settling in very well now and I have to say, as much I like our FC and think she was good at her job, I am starting to think the environment was not set up to help a child thrive. All rooms aside from living room and kitchen were occupied bedrooms an so when awake she spent all her time (in the house) in one very small room. They used to describe her as a lazy baby but within 8 weeks of being in our open plan house she is almost walking. When she came here she was barely crawling and I think it was probably because there was no where to go! That said she was fed, loved and all needs met.

In my county a foster carer fostering two teens would earn £44k practically tax free
