Help with letterbox?

For those that dont know im a birth mum, im due to send a reply soon, just wondered if you lovely folk could give me some opinions - obviously ive removed identifying details
Thank you so much for your lovely letter.

I am thrilled to hear how much xxx has progressed since our last exchange, he sounds like he's living life to the fullest. I remember him being an expressive baby and it sounds like that hasn't changed :)

Thank you for letting me know his current interests - I am not down with the kids and had to ask a friend what 'Bing' was but Peppa Pig is certainly popular around here.

Utterly, utterly thrilled to hear about xxx's first thropy. What a little star! Really did bring a smile to my face knowing he's found something he enjoys and at such a young age.
Row row your boat was a favourite of mine as a child so it's lovely to hear that some of the older ones are still around :)
Sounds like between football, his cousins, you guys and of course your dog amongst others he's got a great family and enviroment around him.

As for me, I went out to work in xzy for 8 months which I loved but my home remains very much in the UK. I'm now split between abc and dfe as a manageress. I still have my own little dog who is very much still my side kick - the little devil he is. I remain single and don't want that to change. I am still heavily involved with horses and am looking forward to a fairly major competition next month, as well as still being a runner.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond - I just wanted it to be right for you all. Thank you once again for writing - I look forward to next years letter. I think of you all often, xxx even more so. Please let me know if there's any information xxx wants/needs at any point.

As an adoptive Mum, I think it's perfect! I would love for my LO to receive a letter like that.

Can I just say, I've followed your story and you should be very proud of yourself, you've always put others first and been very mindful of what is in your DS best interests.

I may not be his parent in the traditional sense but i am still very much his mum however far away he is, i still very much want whats best for him.

I'm relatively new to MN, so not familiar with your story, and only a prospective adopter as not yet approved, but I think your letter is great. I hope when our time comes that our LO gets letters like yours.

I think your letter is perfect anxious. My only suggestion would be to add in any questions of your own if there is anything you would like to know about LO and/or his parents and how they are doing. I know as an adopter I would be delighted to have some questions from birth mum to answer, I always find trying to start the letter the hardest thing.

As an adoptive mummy, I would be over the moon to receive this.

As, I imagine, would my son at an age where he is old enough to understand.

I have a question for you, Anxious. We are due to exchange letters shortly. I wanted to send our BM the school report of DS - anonymised and really only showing what score he has been getting in each "assessment" as he had an amazing school report. Would it upset you to get it? Or would you like to get it? I also hope the BM doesn't think I am boasting but DS is one smart cookie which really has very little to do with me and I am sure is because of his good genes. Thoughts?

How has your LO's BM reacted to letterbox so far? If she's been genuinely happy to hear of his achievements so far I think it'd be a lovely addition. Personally I'd be over the moon to get something like that, for me I'd be touched they wanted me to have something that is such a part of his life now.

Our lo bm hasn't read her letter from us which is sad, we have asked some questions that we will get no reply to now for some time.
I would be very happy to recieve this letter, as difficult as it is for you to write.

A lovely letter.
Really spot on.
My wee one's BP haven't even signed letter box.
I continue to write, knowing that nobody is even reading.
It makes me feel very sad.
I would love to receive a letter like yours and I would definitely answer your questions.
