Intro video for 3yr old nephew

Hi, my sis & BIL are adopting a 3yr old boy. They've asked us to do a short video to introduce ourselves (me, dh & our 1 yr old daughter). Just looking for any tips on what to say to make it last longer than 10 seconds! Obviously who each of us are and that we're looking forward to meeting & playing with him - we are :) But any other suggestions? Thanks.

FIlm each room in the house and the garden .

But don't you know him if he's your nephew ?

Sorry, I just realised that I misread your post and thought you were adopting your nephew ! Apologies .

Are you sure that the Sw wants you in the video ? Usually it's only the new mum /dad/ siblings ? Otherwise it will be a bit confusing for such a young child and anyway you won't be meeting him for quite a while after he's placed .

My sister has asked us to do the video. Apparently they will need it for the matching panel. She's asked for videos from our other sister and her family and our parents. Assuming they've asked for the same from BILs family too.

I figured it would be confusing seeing all these randoms on tv all saying they're relatives but I'm hoping it's more to show the matching panel they've got the support.

Oh gosh I'm still confused. I thought this was the video to show the child .

I've never heard of anything like this being required for matching . So all these people in the video have to be told about the child before they are matched ? How unusual .

Hopefully someone will be along soon with some good suggestions

Kristina, I'm guessing it is for the child but matching panel will have a nosey at it. They passed photos of our house around whilst we were talking at ours. Matching panel was certainly our deadline for making the books.

OP, I would have thought a 'hello, we're auntie and uncle jenzi and we're very excited to meet you' would be fine. I really can't think what else would be of interest/use to child (or matching panel).

Thanks or your replies. Sorry if I was confusing. To be honest I don't know anything more. All we got as a brief was "please can you do us a video to show 'name' introducing all of you. We need it within a week or two as we need it for the matching panel too".
As per the gist that tldr said.
