Well we are mid way through our introductions and can't wait to have her home

But.... She is so placid and easy going it's actually starting to un nerve me a little

She has cried a few times but in the main she is just happy

She is meeting all her mile stones oh is in the medical profession and went through the medical document with a fine tooth Combe.

Any one else had a easy time during introductions

Is it possible because we had such a awful time of it with our first daughter(she cried and screamed wouldn't let anyone hold her with out a fight ) we are feeling this is a bit to good to be true

How old is she?

DS was easy during intros and didn't even have a broken night's sleep once we brought him home. He seems to be fine now, happy, cheerful, well attached. (He was 20mo at intros)

Depending on age though, it's perfectly possible she has no idea what's going on.

Im still waiting for it to go tits up and DS has been with me since Dec last year! He was a little shy for the first hour on day one of intros but after that was happy as Larry

Our third was 11 months and we've had no dramas as yet (she's been home a year now). She's just a happy little chappy. But then her older brother was 3 when he came home and he was fine. (Middle child was an angry ball of drama, but two out of three ain't bad)

Oh I am so happy to Have found this thread. Worried that our little one will struggle leaving his fantastic FC. It sounds as though you guys have had good experiences? Phew!! X

Hmmmmmm.

I don't want to be the voice of doom. It's perfectly possible that she has no idea what is going on, is happy to have some interesting people to play with and will only react to intros once she realises she is going to live with you.

OR it could be that she has an attachment issue and having her needs met by strangers is just normal for her. In that case you have some problems ahead. Because clearly that is going to need a lot of work.

Children are not supposed to react placidly to their world changing hugely and dramatically and their carers suddenly not being there. I don't actually think you should be seeing this as a positive.

How many moves has she had? Are you aware of identified attachment issues?

Our LO was a happy LO during intros and mostly continues in this vein.
Intros were very uneventful. Attachment is very good as it was with FC.
LO is neither compliment or defiant. We are 3 yrs in, we have worked hard to ensure our LO feels safe and secure.

Hi hope the intros went well. We had easy intros as LO seemed happy to be with us during that time. The difficulties started few days after the moving day when LO realised that is not going back to FC. It took time to settle. Its getting better now. It helped meeting the FC few weeks after the move.
