No running for the hills from me, I think these boards are amazing and I wouldn't desert them. So, we've got matching panel tomorrow! We're hoping to soon become the parents of two splendid small people who are 5 and 6. We have (or will by tomorrow) a soft toy each, a butterfly photo thing each, family books a small gift and a DVD we will be recording today. Is there anything we could add? Does anyone have recommendations? Also any tips for the panel itself? Thanks so much.

Thank you! I know it sounds organised, but the house is a tip, we haven't done one book yet, the new bedrooms are not complete and so of course I'm posting on MN! What could possibly go wrong!?

Lots of clear face images on the DVD
Oh and it is good to relax with a cuppa and Mumsnet

I confess to having a lump in my throat thinking of two children of 5 and 6 about to get a new family . I'm guessing it's been a hard journey and a long wait for them

Thank you all! Such kindness. We've got a dozen or so hours to pull everything together. It's very exciting, utterly terrifying and also wonderful. I'll let you know how it goes...

I'm sure it will all go smoothly . They wouldn't be taking you to matching panel if they weren't 99.9% sure that you are right for each other
