Matching panel is fast approaching, what sort of questions should we expect please?

We have already been asked to write about why we felt this child was a match for our family, although we are struggling with how to put this on paper at the moment!!

Yep, why this child? Do you feel you have had enough information? What have you in place to cope with.... Needs?

Ours was mainly directed at SW. Why haven't you done this? Have you done that? Much less formal than approval in our experience.

We struggled with putting it into words too! To overcome this we ended up writing a list of where the personality of our children matched ours and so suited us e.g. lots of energy, like being outdoors etc. Then we drew up a list of what our children needed to feel safe, bond and be happy and then how we thought we were able to offer each thing. Then if your child has any other siblings you're not adopting how you are suited to dealing with things like that etc. We felt an instant 'connection' towards photos etc. so went with that too but talked most on what we could offer them. That was the big question in our panel. Like Kazza says we didn't get asked much else, it was all put to SW's really. We got asked about our support network, our time off work and the logistics of siblings and providing each with their own one to one time as I recall but that was pretty much it.
