adoption leave from work

When did you start your adoption leave please? The week of introductions? Or earlier/later?

Not sure what to do. Thanks

The latest you can take it, or so I was told, was day of moving in. I took annual leave from first day of intros (which started on a monday) and then adoption leave from day of our LO's moving in. It was right for us but may not be right for all.

Mine started working day before intros started.

DW started hers a week later as she was off on half term for first week of intros.

Took annual leave for week of introductions, children moved in on the Saturday, adoption leave started from the Monday.

I was allowed 2 weeks before moving in day. Our intros were 10 days so had a couple of day before that to get more sorted.
