3 months into placement

Oh my gosh! Where has 3 months gone? We seem to be settling into our routines nicely, there are still ups and downs but all of a sudden I feel we are making progress. This last week I have been told by my 4 year old with severe speech delay "I luwb u mama". It makes my heart melt!! Especially as all she could say on placement was me & mine!!!
Don't get me wrong, we still have meltdowns and tantrums but we are learning how to manage them and what situations to avoid. Things still go wrong, I drink wine a lot at night and think tomorrow I will be a better parent but on the whole we are slowly coming together as a family! x

I feel the same Daisie. We are 4 months in with 2ds and can't believe where the time has gone. We are really feeling like a family now. It is really encouraging to hear how you are doing. Tantrums seem to be less and I am learning to avoid them sometimes (cheer) and deal with them. Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job of being mum. Wine does help!
