We have a mahoosive list of questions worked out already, all the practical things we need to know to make sure we are as ready as possible for intros and placement and many many other things that have come from us reading the CPR and all the other reports we've seen in the last few weeks.

However, what are the big (or small) questions you guys think we should be asking, or with the benefit of hindsight what questions do you wish you'd asked at the time...

Have you met foster carers already? That can make a difference to types of questions. Mine was very much all the social workers telling birth family's story and not exactly what I expected. Much more formal than I thought. Was good but I was glad I'd met FC first to ask all my questions! But it's an exciting next stage so enjoy xx

My only advice is make friends with foster carers, get the mobile number or email and text or email bits and pieces, when you think of them, if they are OK for you to do this.

It went really really well.

About 15 people attended in total, some for the whole day, some just popping in and out to add their experiences. In terms of the core information most of it we were already aware of from reading the various reports of the last few weeks, what was invaluable was the pieces of information around the edges that they were all able to relay first hand from their direct experiences of our LO and her background.

FC was so lovely, full of information, really down to earth, can see us getting on with them really well. Even kept a diary of each day LO has been with FC detailing what they have done together and things that have happened. Read the first few weeks over lunchtime, had to stop myself after a bit, there was nothing particularly hard to read in it, just found myself getting a bit emosh. Need to man up a bit...

Ended by seeing some more photos and watching videos of LO that had been done recently. Absolutely adorable, roll on matching panel next Wednesday!
