When first discussing a possible link with SW? Thanks so much.

If it's a possible link, focus on your matching criteria first, were there any situations, conditions, etc that you had ruled out when you thought about adopting, do any of these apply with this child?

Clarify what they mean by xyz, find out what other supporting information you will be able to access, such as medical reports, BM assessments etc. be clear about how much you will ever be likely to know about this child and whether you are comfortable with making a decision based on that information alone.

My advice is ask every question, address every niggle. Keep asking until you have ironed out every concern that you have. Don't forget that you'll have a chance to ask plenty of questions of the child's SW.

And when you do, don't worry about asking too many questions, we were worried that we come across as not being keen, but they would have been more concerned if we didn't ask loads of probing questions.

Good luck.
