So today we had a review, 3 SW in the house, the children went into hyper mode and decided to have a screaming competition, the dog had to get locked outside as he was hyper and decided to headbutt the cat flap until it shattered. SW left, I cried buckets locked in the bathroom.
Today was the most stressed I've felt in the 5 weeks. Please tell me I will laugh about today at some point

Thanks sounds like a pretty normal household to be fair, it would be weird of they all sat there silent and "well behaved"

don't worry, have some tea and yes one day you will laugh about it Wink

Oh dear. SW visits are really stressful but I am sure you did great. What you are describing is normal family stuff. It just seems worse because you had an audience! WineFlowersSmile

Yes you will ... this time next year. DS used to bash his forehead the day before a SW visit - he never had a visit without a bruise on his face of some sort! And then took to syaing to social worker after 15 minutes. "You can go now"

We always had regression in our son when any social workers paid a visit. We would be telling them how his speech was coming on, and he would be sat slient under the table!

The good news is.......

Your a normal family. With normal kids and a slightly hyper dog.

Congratulations.
And smile and laugh. It will all be ok

Italiangreyhound · 10/03/2015 19:42

Normal life. at our first review an unexpected lady turn up, who knew my son (she was unexpected by me) and saw us in the street beforehand, me probably shouting, parked her car and arrived as we were loudly making cakes!

All quite chaotic.

The kids went in the garden on the trampoline and it started raining.

Hope the dog is OK!

At one of ours, toddler DD went and got the broom (about twice as tall as her) and dragged it round everyone's feet declaring "I EXACTLY like Cinderella". She meant because she had a pretty dress, not that she was the household slave, honest Blush
