Court tomorrow!!!!!!!

So, we've done it start to finish and tomorrow we go to the family court. The relief, the absolute relief, the absolute relief we will be feeling this time tomorrow.
I promise to post what court was like.

Congratulations Billabong! Judges are usually very nice to adoptive parents and some even manage to produce a few sweets for the children!

We got smarties, a certificate and a few photos with the judge to bring home.

DS got nothing except a seat in the judges chair and some photos. I however got him so I won!

He was 3 at the time and very sweet when the judge passed the order I whispered to him "say thank you" and he yelled very loudly at the judge "THANK YOU VERY MUCH!"

The guardian ad litem and lawyer who we invited out for a coffee afterwards said that the judge was very touched as she didn't normally get thanked.

I loved our adoption days.
Dd3 banged on the table and shouted "yippee" she didn't have a clue what was going on, was just caught up in her sisters excitement.

It was just as you all described. Very casual and over in a few minutes. We came out with a teddy bear, a certificate and a beautiful daughter. Must go, the champagne is calling!
