Hi, is it usual for your sw to say you need a second opion visit? She has booked another visit but to bring her supervisor along, should we be worried? Thanks

no... its normal... (prior to writing up PAR for panel)...altho ours decided we didn't 'need one' [relief emotion]

Some LAs it is a requirement to have a second opinion visit. Ours turned into a blessing as our SW was sick when we went for approval and our second opinion SW had to fill in. She knew us and was able to answer questions that were asked.

Yup, we had a second opinion visit.

I thought everyone did.

It's simply for another social worker to review your paperwork and come chat with you to fill in any perceived gaps that there might be in your PAR.
